Many people can benefit from counselling at various points in their lives. Counselling can be valuable for anyone seeking support, personal development or to work through an issue.
Sometimes clients with no prior knowledge of counselling believe that the counsellor will solve their problems for them, however counselling is about helping you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour and worldview, so that you can become more self-aware and achieve greater empowerment.
Lianne will treat you as the expert on yourself, as no one else knows exactly what it's like to be you. She will not judge you, no matter what you bring to the session. Lianne seeks to build a trustworthy relationship in which you can feel free and supported to disclose whatever is troubling you.
This will lead you to discover your own abilities and autonomy, so that you can cope with current and future problems.
Lianne has been counselling on a part time basis since 2014, within Women's Centres and LGBTQIA Charity settings, but left a corporate job in 2022 to set up her own full time practice. She offers counselling from her home in Cronton, Widnes or virtually.
Lianne is qualified in both Person Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Diversity and inclusion are very important to Lianne, and with that in mind she offers a safe space in which to explore, a non-judgemental approach and a keenness to empower you to achieve true happiness.
"Lianne is an extremely knowledgeable and caring person and someone that has helped me find myself in only a few weeks. I already have a plan and a way forward which I didn't have before. She let's you lead the way but nudges you to the right path when you derail. Her approach is a breath of fresh air."
